Yes. Send us what you already have and we will work from it. Upload the floor plan, the 3D rendering, the itemized cabinet list, or even a photo of the quote itself, and our designers will turn those sizes and cabinet codes into a layout using our cabinet lines. You still get a fresh, verified design and a full itemized quote. Nothing about this locks you in or costs you anything.

Most homeowners only design one kitchen in their life. Our designers have worked on thousands. So when you send us a quote from a big-box store, a local cabinet shop, or another online retailer, we are not starting from zero and we are not guessing. We know how to read someone else’s layout, spot what it’s missing, and rebuild it correctly with our cabinets.

ToggleWhy starting over is a waste of your time
If you already paid a designer, an architect, or a big-box kitchen planner to measure your walls and lay out your cabinets, that work has value. The wall dimensions, appliance clearances, and cabinet configuration someone already figured out for your kitchen don’t change just because you’re shopping a different cabinet line. Re-doing all of that from scratch would be a waste of everyone’s time, including ours.
What does change is the cabinet brand, the box construction, and the price. That’s exactly where we come in.
What you can send us
You don’t need a perfect file. Send whatever you’ve got:
- PDF floor plans or 3D renderings from a big-box store, local showroom, or architect
- Photos or screenshots of a quote, even if it’s just a phone picture of a printed sheet
- Itemized cabinet lists with codes like W3630, B24, or SB36 — these are standard cabinet-sizing codes most manufacturers use in some form
- Hand sketches with rough measurements, if that’s all you have
Attach any of these to your free design request, email them to us, or call/text and we’ll talk through it. We’ll take it from there.
How we convert another company’s layout into a USA Cabinets quote
Cabinet codes look complicated, but they’re really just shorthand for size and type. A “B30” is a base cabinet 30 inches wide. A “W3630” is a wall cabinet 36 inches wide and 30 inches tall. Every manufacturer uses slightly different naming, but the sizes behind those names are what matter.
When you send us a competitor’s layout, here’s what our designers actually do:
- Match each cabinet in your existing plan to the closest equivalent size in our cabinet line
- Check your wall measurements against the new layout to make sure everything still fits
- Review appliance clearances, since refrigerators, ranges, and dishwashers need specific room on each side
- Account for door overlay differences, since some brands use a full overlay and others use a partial overlay, which changes how much the doors cover the cabinet box
- Adjust filler strips, since every brand’s box width is slightly different and fillers make up the gap between cabinets and walls
This is the part most homeowners never think about, and it’s exactly why you shouldn’t just copy a cabinet list line-for-line and expect it to drop into place. A one-inch difference in filler width here or there can mean a cabinet door that won’t open all the way, or a gap you can see every time you walk into the kitchen.
Common mistakes when reusing an old plan
We see these mistakes constantly, and they’re easy to avoid once someone points them out:
- Assuming “30 inch” always means the same thing. Depth, height, and door style can vary between brands even when the width matches.
- Forgetting the toe kick. Some lines use a 4-inch toe kick, others use a different height, which changes how tall your finished cabinets sit.
- Skipping panel and molding line items. A competitor’s quote might include decorative end panels, crown molding, or skin panels that never got re-added when the layout was converted.
- Not rechecking appliance fit. If your old plan was built around a specific fridge or range, make sure that’s still accurate before locking in sizes.
None of these are deal-breakers. They’re just things a designer needs to catch before you order, not after the cabinets show up.
Does sending us your existing quote commit you to anything?
No. Sending your layout or quote gets you a free design and a free itemized quote. You’re not obligated to buy anything. This is simply the fastest way for us to show you what the same kitchen looks like with our cabinets and our pricing, instead of you starting the whole design process over.
We offer a 5% savings guarantee on comparable cabinet quotes, and our customers save about 25% on average through wholesale pricing. Some homeowners save even more, up to 40-50% compared with many big-box cabinet prices, depending on what they’re comparing. But “comparable” matters here. We’ll walk through your existing quote with you so we’re comparing the same cabinet construction, the same assembly type, and the same accessories, not just the bottom-line number.
Why verifying dimensions still matters, even with a solid existing plan
A good existing layout is a great head start, not a finished product. Walls settle, floors aren’t perfectly level, and sometimes the original measurements were taken before a wall got moved or an appliance got swapped. Before any order goes out, we recheck:
- Overall wall lengths and corners
- Window and door placement relative to cabinet runs
- Appliance width, depth, and required clearance
- Ceiling height if upper cabinets or crown molding are involved
This step protects you. It’s a lot cheaper to catch a half-inch problem on a drawing than to catch it after cabinets are sitting in your kitchen.
What USA Cabinets does for you
Send us your existing layout or quote and we will:
- Convert it into our cabinet line sizes and style options
- Verify every measurement and clearance before anything is finalized
- Point out anything the original quote might be missing, like fillers, panels, or moldings
- Give you an itemized quote you can compare side-by-side with what you already have
You get a kitchen designed around what you already decided you wanted, at wholesale pricing, backed by a lifetime warranty, with RTA orders generally shipping in about 5 business days and assembled orders in 7-10 business days. Some orders can even ship the next business day.
You already did the hard part by figuring out what your kitchen needs. Let us handle turning that into cabinets that fit, ship fast, and cost you less.
